DUTCHTOWN — A 21-year-old Prairieville man died after wrecking his motorcycle early Friday, State Police reported.
About 2 a.m., Steve K. Espinoza was eastbound on La. 621 east of La. 73 when he lost control of a 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle going around a curve to the left, according to a State Police news release.
He left the road to the right and struck a culvert while passing through the curve, troopers said. The impact tossed Espinoza off the Harley-Davidson and the motorcycle continued, striking a second culvert before stopping.
Espinoza was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ascension Parish Coroner’s Office.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and troopers suspect alcohol to be a factor in this wreck, according to the statement.
