Now Aaron if we start seeing you enjoying your lunchtime bevies at the Sonic in Woodville holding your pinky at attention with each and every sip, you're gonna loose riding buddies, get slapped, ostracized, and ridiculed. Just so you know.

Ms. Dirty just heard me laughing, asked why, and then officially offered you her $20 Starbucks gift card.

That looks like the bike I reported on Hooper the other day. This one looks a little dirtier. But it was dark and I would believe it was Aaron by the way he started darting through traffic after I caught up to him. Was that you?

Nope. I don't think so. I haven't been on that road on the BMW yet. (And "forging" or "lumbering" are probably more appropriate adjectives for this thing.) ;)

The great thing is, the plate is completely tongue-in-cheek. The only thing I've ever purchased at a Starbucks is a normal coffee with cream. Drives the counter people nuts when they have to brew a pot of real coffee for me.

Just got back from breaking in the R/A's. They're just as good on the big GS as they are on the Uly. Totally linear from one end to the other. Hopefully they'll last fairly well.

I'm with you at getting a "Real" cup of jo.

The three or four times I've ever been to this place I order a Large Dark Coffee. Then they usually get irritated after the third or fourth time they try to correct me from saying "Large" for their more better Italian word for large.

That plate cracks me up. Good on ya!

+1 on the large regular coffee. Sign me up for the "Large-In" if Starbucks does not go out of business first... they have been shutting down stores all over the place.

The Road Attacks came on my RR for release day which was unusual. I love them and put a new rear on at 6500 miles, and that is not going easy on the throttle. Only real gripe I have with them is that they develop a flat spot after about 2000 miles on the road. They are very sticky in the corners, so the flat spot is explained by the softer rubber compound used. I am right at 10000 miles on the front now, and it is just beginning to show a flat spot in the center. These are great tires for cruising.

Have I mentioned that I love this bike?

I beat on the windshield yesterday and finally got it to the tallest position.I don't need a laminar lip now! Dead silence!

Back in Atlanta right now after 530 miles and 7 hours, 21 minutes of the most brilliant weather yet this year. Just wonderful

I was with a friend who asked for a Grande Mochafagachino in Dallas a few years ago. It took them about 10 minutes to figure out that he was just being an ass.

I'm starting to feel that the GSA is the technological equivalent of this:

That may be the coolest "quote" ever. I think I'm going to name my bike "Sybil" just because of those 2 pics with the descriptions. I may not have a "GS", but the feelings are the same.Bow12 http://www.dualsportridersoflouisiana.com/forums/images/smilies/bow.gif

Just returned from the first ride on the GSA with a passenger. I had to run out to FOrt Polk to bring some stuff to the boy and Mona's cousin who's staying with us wanted to go for the ride. I am amazed at how well that monster rides with a passenger. Just like everything else, there is no drama. It just feels a little heavier. Unlike the Uly, which has the passenger seated behind the rear axle, the GSA seems to have the passenger a bit in front of the rear axle. Much less nose happy with the passenger. Very smooth ride. If all Beemer's handle passengers like this, I want a K1200LT next.

I agree Aaron, I never had a problem with two up on my GS. Unlike other bikes it was way easier riding 2 up on the GS.

Thats a nice bike ...One day I want one...

on a side note... Several years back I had a Harley FatBoy..
(I cant find a picture of mine so picture this one black.. )
http://www.redjeepclub.com/harley/ianharley.JPG

And my buddy had a brand new BMW R1200 (not his either.. Just an online photo..)
http://www.psndealer.com/dealersite/images/bmwoffresno/VP544889_2.jpg

He rode to Sturgis from Detroit .. I rode his bike the whole time with my wife on the back.. (he wanted the Harley guys to like him..so he rode mine..)
It was so much nicer than my bike I couldnt stand it... And when we got back home and he rode off on his bike I missed it... ALOT....

And just FYI... His R got about 1000 times more looks than my Fatboy... The only thing I didnt like about it was it was a real ugly butterscotch color...

On a side note... I have a buttload of pics on 2.5 disk.. I really got to do something about getting those on cd...

Just finished up installing the Odyssey Battery and a Stebel Compact Nautilus.

Oh. My. God.

That horn is awesome. And I actually managed to mount it per the mfg recommendations with the cylinder vertical. It was not the easiest install since I wanted to do it by the book, rather than mounting it sideways like most of the pictorials on ADV show. But it's solid and doesn't even come close to interfering with anything. I need to put a screen over the inlet hose to keep the bugs out of it though.
