Anybody here good at finding an oil leak? My LT has a leak at the rear of the motor, I found where it seems to start, but I am fearful it may be the rear main seal. Which means the bike has to be broken in half, by removing the rear of the bike to access the rear of the engine. Replace the seal and replace all the parts removed.

If indeed it is the main seal it has a $2K cost at the shop. I just cant manage that.

Easiest way to find a leak it to clean the engine as best you can.. Then start it up and look around... I can give you a hand some time during the week if you are free and want to bring it by the shop..

Lee, I arrived home and no oil leak. I suspected I overfilled the crankcase somehow. I will keep an eye on it, but it seems to have taken care of itself.

Was it motor oil or clutch fluid?

It was sweat, from all the horsepower...

Motor oil is my guess. The oil level in the site glass has gone down a small amount.
