View Full Version : Countershaft Sprocket Woes

well, I took the nut off the countershaft sprocket only to have it strip on the way out... Now looking for a 20MM nut... doesn't exist in Baton Rouge... Anyone have any ideas?

luck is not your friend man...

lightning bolt? they stock a pretty good bit. there are a couple more places, but i can't think of the names off hand

after closer inspection..... the shaft is stripped as well... this is not going to be a fun week...

That really sucks... You might be able to find a Die and fix those threads on the shaft...

If you are going to replace it anyway, come by my house and I'll tack weld it for ya. It will last until you need to replace it when you have time.

Fixed! Temp until Kenny gets a legit nut, but it's solid. Thanks for the grub!

BTW Kenny, my project turned out pretty nice.

Give me a call if you need to borrow that 27mm again when your new nut comes in.

did you end up using stickers? I will have to go by the dealership sometime this week and see if they can get one in. I have a feeling it will take a week or so.

I used some "Print and Press" stuff, printed out the pics and text on that, then ironed it on the shirt.
