I have a great set of Midland GXT's that I would like to use. Anyone use this setup? Or any other radio besides the $200 kenwoods? If so, how is the quality and which cable did you use?

I have something similar, I'm not looking at them right at the moment, to see exactly which model they are.
I got the setup from Swampy.
If he sees this maybe he'll chime in.
I haven't had a chance to use them on rides, so far, as no one else seems to have a 2-way radio setup.
But, since I had 2 handsets, I played with the vox portion and it seems to work well.

Chad the Cobra Microtalks work... (LI 7200) They work.. And I got them at Best buy ..2 of them with a charger for around $150

Lee has the dudes contact info that sells autocoms.. He would know if they will work...

How is the sound quality with the cobra's? I really don't want to spend the $$ for the kenwwod if something else will work as well.

LOL... The PTT didnt work on mine.. .But it did work on Lee's ... Leaving me to believe that I either had a bad PTT wire or possibly the Autocom... But the radio worked good ... And it worked fine on VOX...

The guy at the truck place said to send the whole thing back and he would check it out and let me know.. (I think Phil did that...)
