Seeking Mechanic to Guide Me...Will Pay....

I am looking to hook up with someone either in New Orleans or within 50 miles of N.O. willing to help me do some basic maintenance on my KLR - I’ll be glad to pay you for your time.

I am no mechanic by any streach of the imagination (Liteheaded can testify to that). I do not want you to do the work on my bike, I’d rather that you guide me in what I need to do. I want to learn how to do my own maintenance. At present I need to do the 15K tune up and change brake pads. If you know your way around a KLR and a tool box, please contact me.

All jokes aside, come to the tech day, you'll get your bike done with all of the knowledgeable people there.

I do plan to be at the Tech Day, I don't want to take up some else's time on my stuff as others need to do their stuff. I can do much of what I need done if someone looks over my shoulder..........

Has the date been set yet for the tech day in B.R.?

Eddie... If you want your stuff done before that.. Just let me know.. I can help you out with whatever you need... If you are going to do valves ...You might want to order a valve shim kit.. Cause I dont know of any place in NOLA area that stocks them...

Have you done the Dohickey?? If not and you want to do that... You will need to order than soon also....

I have the shims and dohickey tool. I can guide you through it. If you need it done before Feb 21. Motor needs to be stone cold for the valve check. Your gonna have to trailer it. Borrow one from a Hardley rider.
