OK Gang , GAMRA Round 4 registration is open for the Jackson, MS races at the Spring Ridge Raceway. There will be a track day on Saturday June 20 and racing on Sunday, June 21, 2009.
Track day fees are $15.00. Race fees are listed on the GAMRA Forum at gamra.us on the GAMRA Forum under the "2009 Race Schedules" heading.
Spring Ridge Raceway is a nice track with some really technical turns and one good fast sweeper. Turn 2 at the end of the straight is a good place to practice backing it in!
Track Stats: Length: .28 miles; Width: 20 feet ; Straightaway: 420 feet; Turns: 6 (4 lefts, 2 rights)

Directions to Spring Ridge Raceway:
I20 to exit 36 Clinton Ms. Go south about 1.5 miles to McRaven Rd. Turn left and take the first left into Buddy Butts park. The track is in the North East corner of the park.
Primitive camping will be available at the track. The gate closes at dark (about 8 pm) Chris B will be at the track Friday night and you can call his cell phone if you need to get in late (601-513-1805) either day (Fri or Sat).
The Annual GAMRA membership fee/race license for riders will have to be paid at this race. The annual membership fee/race license has remained at $25.00 this year.
We know this may be a burden for some of you, but we have to have the membership fee paid to ensure we can pay for insurance fees, track rental, trophies and other required items. Currently several members are paying for these expenses out of their own pockets until the fees are collected and we have a working budget to cover expenses.
Insurance fees are $10.00 per rider for the day of the races. All Persons (spectators & pit crews) entering track areas must also purchase arm bands.
We have several people who have been wanting to run their street motards, so if we have enough requests, we will try to run a street motard class. This will be for street legal motards with dirt bike type frames (Suzuki DRZs, KTMs, Hondas, etc), no race slicks, & you will have to tape up your headlights, taillights & turn signals, or remove them. We would prefer you run Red Line's "Water Wetter" or something other than antifreeze for this class, so if we have crashes, we don't screw up the track. Anything you can do to race prep the bike will be helpful (especially catch-cans). We'll see how this goes, but if we mess up the race surface, we'll have to follow race tech rules in the future. Normal Race registration fees will apply as for any other class.
I have not yet been able to get the online forms at the GAMRA website working yet, so you will have to Pre-register by sending an email to:
