As a member from Southwest LA who is looking for like-minded people in my area to hook up with, I would be very interested in the idea of setting a section for forums (fora?) on a regional basis, i.e. SWLA, Central LA, NOLA, North LA, etc. I like the idea of the Thursday meet-and-greet, but Baton Rouge is over 2 hours from here, so I would only be able to make it during the summer, if at all.

Could we perhaps set up an area for inmates from each region to hook up? What do you think?

We did this a few years ago but only the BR section got used. We do have quite a few members from the southwestern part of the state. I would be more than happy to give it another geaux. Just let me know exactly what you want and i will set it up for you.

Juice,

I was thinking something along the lines of having an area for regional threads similar to what they have on the Adventure Rider site (i.e. www.advrider.com). Just a place where people in a particular region can get to know each other, set up meet & greets similar to the one you have going in BR, etc.

It does seem like there are a number of riders in this area, and now that I have one of the big Adventure bikes, I have been noticing more and more of them in town, lately. I thought would be nice to have a central location for us to get together and discuss mutual interests, meet & greets, etc. I have seen some of them on this site log in to other threads, such as the new member introductions, but I do not check on a daily basis, so sometimes I miss those who post from this area.

I am not sure it will work any better this time around, but perhaps it is time to give it another shot. It might be good to have areas where people from different parts of the state can contact each other in this fashion.
