middle georgia kart track, now with paved jumps and whatnot. they haven't posted pics of the new paved jumps or anything, but if y'all go there, i might have to make the drive since it sounds like it would be a freakin blast.

That track is owned by AMA superbike racer Josh Jerrin's dad Phil. I met him up at Bakers creek last yesr. Semra does run there, but we have yet to make the trip. We plan to make it next year for sure.

i definitely want to ride it too since it is obviously a unique track to the states. that's a track that i'll actually go through the effort of safety wiring my bikes for. i don't even want to race on it, just ride it! SEMRA does have an open class since neither of my bikes fit into the typical race classes, right?

i hope they don't do the race there in the spring/early summer, because i have a couple out of state truck shows i am going to, plus whenever we schedule our deals gap trip...

freakin awesome. i asked on SMJ if they only do track days/race days, or if they'd let a small group of us make the trip there and ride for a couple days.

This is from their site: http://www.middlegeorgiakarttrack.com/index.html

Private track rentals are: $500 weekday or $1000 per day on weekend!!

Plus $5 wristband per person entering the track.

If we can get 10-15 people, on a weekday,,,,that's only $33-50 per person for the track. Plus, gas/food blah, blah, blah.

I checked the distance out to drive there, 750 miles for me from Leesville. HHHhhhmmmmmm,,,,,how many bikes can you cram into a 8'x20' enclosed trailer???????

After this weekend, I will call them and see what is needed for a TTD Sumo rental. This NEEDS to be done!

I'll be giving you a call in a few days.

This track looks sweet! I wonder were the closest RV and camping sites are,,,I wonder if we can just camp on the road side?????? Hell, I'd rest my head on one of those paved jumps and sleep,,,, just as long as I can ride this track.

Caleb and I just got back from a Florida Supermoto round at Herrins. The track is even more awesome in person. We showed up a day early to ride. If the track is not booked, open trackday is about $45 a head (and worth it).
Camping is available at the track with some power hookups. They have the nicest showers I've ever seen at a track.

FL Supermoto is planning a round here sometime in oct. If Phil doesn't have the track booked, he just wants 24 hour notice that you are planning on coming. If you guys don't want to wait for the next scheduled event, Caleb and I would be happy to tag along with a group

i think we should ride at least two days to make it worth the trip ; i wonder if a single person showed up at the track and they had a group riding if he would let you join the group that had the track rented; naturally you would have to pay youre share

i'm game for a two day trip, maybe stop somewhere to hit some more stuff on the way home if everyone has a plated bike. i don't know how soon i'll be able to afford another trip though.
