Ok guys. Im not a club but i have been working on this for a long time. I finally have the green light to build a dirt section at a local car track we use for track days. We have needed this for a long time in this area and we have had no place to do it. I finally convinced the track owner to let me have motards on certain Sundays along with one of their car days. 20 minute sessions at least 5 times the day. So if you are in for this i need you to call me and get on the list. 281-370-4400 Sportcycles Of Houston KTM. Out of town guys will be welcome. Pricing will be determened on amount of entries. I only schedualed 1 day a month so people can plan for it. 1st planned day is 9/27/09 If you call me i can give you more details.
I just got off the phone with the guy. The track that they are going to be putting in a dirt track section is GrandSport Speedway (click for link) (http://www.grandsportspeedway.com/). This is a track that I've been wanting to go to, it's closer than most for me. And now if they are tossing in a dirt section,,,, I MUST GO!
The sessions are going to be run with kart and car. NO, not at the same time! 20 Min. each per hour. The guy convinced the track owner to add the dirt section. Same lines as talks with NPR owners and a dirt section there.
I'll post up more info as I find out.
