The HSTA Louisiana chapter is now online.
HSTA was founded in 1982 and is chartered by the American Motorcycle Association. The primary purpose of the club is to bring together riders whose focus is motorcycle sport touring regardless of type or brand of motorcycle. There are members throughout the US, Canada, and numerous foreign countries ranging in age from late teens to late eighties, with a median age between 35 and 45, and include virtually all socioeconomic strata. The majority of our members ride sport touring bikes.
The emphasis of our Association is in making friends, learning more about our sport, and in making our motorcycling trips more pleasant and meaningful. We stress a maximum amount of riding pleasure with a minimum amount of gear, and always trying to learn how to be better, safer riders. We believe that enjoying the road on the way to a destination is as important as arriving at the destination.
