I thought it would be interesting to have a thread on farkle summaries. I thought it might also be more useful to not separate threads for different bikes, but it make spark some cross-polinization of ideas. Hell, maybe a car farkle might be a good inspiration also. Might also spark a marketable idea for the group to bring revenue to the site for functions and whatnot. I carried this text I wrote, over from another thread...right or wrong.

My most useful KLR frarkles: handgurards, center stand, pilot thumb screw
My most useless KLR farkles: forkbrace (should have added a PIAA or bottle opener there).
The most practical KLR farkles: 12v socket, fender bag, tank bag
Least used farkles: fender bag, forkbrace (never knew it was there).
Most contraversial farkle (also a mod): doohicky!!!!!
Farkly I think I need the most on a KLR: fatter metal pegs!!!!

farkle-on! UZI

I'd have to say that my best farkle thus far on the pig would have to be the Fastway footpegs. They provide tenacious grip and awesome leverage for my size 13's. Not far behind them are...

25mm risers
Handguards
Heated grips
Sargent seat
Hepco & Becker crash bars
TT cylinder guards
Tankbag

Probably the most useless would be the beak guard, although it looks cool enough.

The most usefull and one of the biggest "bling factors" are the TKC's. The GS just looks like it's designed to kick ass with those knobbies on it. Then again, the Jesse bags need to be mentioned too since they're all business and no bull$hit.

Sorry but you Dual Sporters are far behind the Sport Tourers in the Farkle department and the ultimate in Farkledom belongs to the Iron Butt competitors. Tino and I attended the IB start in Denver last year just to soak in the infarkeable farkleosity of the moment.

11 days to run 11,000 miles to be exact!! Loooooooong time to be sitting on your bike. Hell, I'd probably try to figure out a way to wire up a 7" LCD screen and an Xbox 360 to do riding like that....qwer3

I got a Farkle for you Ted. How about a wireless card for your laptop? So you can post your ride report daily from the field? Kick Ass12

Boy, that's coincidental. Ancient thread bumped three months ago and missed, but re-bumped and seen by spambot.

I gots me one of them (ST), too! Farkles are minimized to necessity. IB guys are in another category altogether, I think. Cup holders and Microwaves have zero to do with "sport" riding, but all to do with long distance committed "touring". Those guys are dedicated to staying in the saddle! Also, I think "you Dual Sporters" is all of us...this is a Dual Sport forum! lol!

We should start a site called "This Old Thread"! Long time guys...hope all is well.
