Kev confucious say...... Is it really cleaning your face? Or dirtying one of Brian's baby whipes?
LEsson for KEv #1..... Even though I was keeping up with the YZF450 for a short period.... The ever nimble KLR with stock ass tires does not grip well in sand..... oh how bark busters look when they are pointing up even further. Either way, went down kinda hard. Bike didn't really suffer that much damage..... however I am walking with a limp.
Lesson #2........ have camera readily available for when Brian try's to climb hill and decides he wants to roll/fall backwards.....Popcorn2
Brian, I will have to download thos pics tomorrow. It's 1230 and I just got in from moving crap to the house. I am takeing a shower and going to bed. To the crew from today, had fun. Have to do it again.

Where y'all were looks like it had 10 times the people that the area where we were did. On Friday we rode with a couple of guys on KTM's (followed miles behind is more like it) and we only passed 5 four wheelers on the trails the whole time we were there. The camping area had about 20 RV's and campers with about 60 riders I would say.
Wish we could have met up... might not have gotten stupid and ended up in the ER if y'all would have been there.

Where did you guys go? After we met up with Patrick and his group we went to the enduro camp looking for you guys. This was maybe around 9:30? We checked all the camp sites at both areas and you guys were not to be found.
Where we were parked there was only about 4-5 camps. We only passed 2 sets of quads on the trails. I had a awesome time. I am a bit sore this morning. Navaho knows those trails like the back of his hand. I just wished that JayD and Lonehorn could have made it......

Dude, they are awesome. Great for small dual sports and dirt bikes. Not so good for the big KLR 650. It was a bit sandy in some places. Lots of hills and some really tight stuff. You would have had a blast on your 250 .
Me and kevin both were running on a bad head an empty stomach and 3 hours of sleep. Friday12

Where did you guys go?
After we talked to you the first time in the morning we figured you were 45 minutes out so we went riding. The second time I called we were out on the trail near what the quads called the sand bowl.
We have to go camping at the Enduro camp or there abouts one weekend in the near future. Leesville isn't too far and they have a couple of teenage single mom employment estiblishments that we need to hit up. They need our support!

Juice, Kevin, the reason we never found your buddies was because they were about 40 miles West of us - near Cravens, LA. I saw the pictures on another thread. I was thinking "Enduro race trails" (at Claiborne) when we went looking for them.
I thought yall did pretty good on those big bikes, especially with it being so powdery. That deep sand was a MF'r even on my DRZ but it can be a blast on a lightweight bike. Here'a a short clip from the race at Claiborne (same trails we rode)

Still had fun Pat, I see you are like swamp rabbit on crack through the woods. I wish I would have had a better suited bike so I could have ran the trails with you all better. But nontheless I still had a great time meeting you all and riding. Thanks again for the guide service. Cool12

I will be the first to admit those trails kicked my ass. I still had a blast. I could only imagine how much fun it would have been on a trail bike. A lightweight bike is in my near future. Thats again Patrick for the hospitality. We will have to do it again.............Redfinger

Yea, Juice I'm looking at a new Husky. Whatever my lighter bike is it has to be a dual sport. I cannot stand trailering my bike. It's worth noting that all the TE's are street legal now too!!!

It is rumored that some 2007 KTM four-strokes will be street-legal also. I hope this is a trend. Maybe then Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki will join the party and we'll have a few more choices. (Nothing against KTM or Husky)

:) Can't say I need the special chest protector, but otherwise you are correct, I've never 'racked' myself on a jump!
Speaking as the girl that was 'fast'... I give the bike all the credit! Thanks12 Had we switched bikes... well, I never would have been able to pick UP one of the dual-sports, so there goes that idea! Owned
Nice site, guys! Cool12
