talked to chris burchfield yesterday and he wants to ride mpr sunday; he said he would contact kerry and karl from covington to come out and ride; anyone else interested we would sure like to have yall come out and ride; ill be there about 8.30 or 9.00 chris said he would be there about 10; he has a longer ride from covington; will probably ride till 4 or 5 im sure;

talking about dualsport rides ; i need to put a set of distanzias on the 17 inch rims on the dr 650; dont ride it much since i bought the yamaha 450yzf for the go kart track; some dualsporting sounds like fun; right now would be a good time to go to northern arkansas for a ride trees are changing colors;

i kinda like the 17s and it is still my street bike also so i think ill stay with the 17s for a while anyway

what kind of rims you got on it

Factory rim on KLX450R. 21 & 18 inch.

21 ain't the best for mini-moto/super-moto... but it's cheaper than a new set of rims.

Maybe I can one day get an extra set of rims for an easy swap between road and dirt... until then, I'd like to get a set of slicks just to try out this mini-moto track stuff. It sure is a hell of a lot closer than Forest Hill, and can probably be done more often.

thats for sure i have a yearly membership and ride almost everyday for 250 a year; chris burchfield who is riding sunday has a klr and he hated the stock tires he put a set of avon distanzias on it and said he wouldnt believe the difference; those would also be good for the mini moto track

How does the membership work?? Are there specific days for bikes, or is it any day with a membership?

If there are people out there often, I may have to go with a membership just so I can put some miles on the KLX between Forest Hill runs!!! (Then I'd probably have to get those spare rims!!!)

Also, what are the rules?? I have a DOT helmet and armored jacket, but no pants, and boots are just riding boots, not MX boots (or I can use steel toe work boots). KLX has a headlight and brake light... will this have to be turned off or taped over? It's completely stock except for a jet kit (ran like ass before that was put in).

I'm sure there's a website that goes over all this, but can't find anything.

you can ride just about everyday; this saturday the karts are racing but will be finished probably about two oclock you could ride after that; ive seen 30 days go by and i am the only one that has riden the track; for information on the memberships go to rocketmadness'com --go to forum--then go to lafayette miniroadracing all the information is there plus we have videos and pictures and we talk back and forth on there so you could post up and say you want to ride and find someone to meet you out there; 250 a year is a hell of a good deal and it is prorated now till the end of the year is 75dollars

i should be there around 11-12. i'm gonna hit up a truck show in jennings early in the morning, then head over there. jake said he's coming, but he's gonna drive and meet me there. i told him y'all will be there a little while before me if he wants to go early. i'm ready to try out some shorter gearing on the track with that new section to see how slideways i can get the XRR.
