I got the book and am about 60 pages into it. Great read.
What I get from this...even if it is subtle is the tips he gently gives you about long distance riding. Like the fake wallet. Extra keys. All sorts of misc stuff that you learn by trial and error.
Great read...

Finished this book...
Great read. The upside to this book is that it covers adversity while on a long bike trip. Great tips folded into the story.
His mechanical issues can make you think about your preperation and packing list. There was the added bonus of the packing list for the three main characters.
He talks about group dynamics of people travelling together for this type of trip. Something to consider when you are out with old friends or out with new people you meet.
There was the slight tip of hand toward things to see on the trip he took. It appeared to me that he was more about the working parts of a trip...not so much about the places themselves.
Easy reading...not many pictures. Wish he had done more pictures of the ride...but it is what it is.
Anyway it is ready for the next reader.
Still have this one John?
Looks like a good read

Not a problem...I hope you enjoy it. There are a couple of Beemers in there...but the author rides a KLR650.
Some tips on what to look out for if you ride it long and rough.
I found my KLR made my hands buzz after riding it for any distance. I liked it...want another, but I would like to get some dampner for the vibration in the handle bars.
