here is a poll for collective information only, i will ask juice to delete any posts relating to why it will be hard, hurt feelings, carver, or anything that may generally clutter the thread, im looking for if you want a trackday & how often will you plan to ride. without rider support its not even worth an effort.

say if the price were $125-$150 as proposed prices will be dropped after a while if at all possible

Nope. Without the "Work a Day - Ride a Day" program that TTD had in place, I can't afford to ride.

whats the point of a poll your not coming out of pocket with any money all you have is gain.

I will ride oncE a month as well. I couldn't vote twice but I have a friend that just bought a full suit and evrything that will be with me at every trackday most likely as well.

Orange, this poll is a little abstract. Would I ride for $100-ish? Probably, but as the price gets higher, if it does, more people will drop out. So at $100, yes, I would, at $125, no big deal. At $150, you're squeezing me a lil. Anything higher, and I can't see myself riding at that price more than once every two months.

Not saying this is a bad poll, just that it's a little abstract.

i will not gain a thing, i will pay the same fee and will provide a paypal reciept to anybody who would like, and if i have my way any money left over after paying the 100 per bike will be used to purchase air fence or repair holes in the track. please see the other thread regarding this.this is only to give chopt an idea of what to expect as i am not trying to take his place in running it, only help him as needed.also i would expect to have to pay for imaginary bike from time to time to make it look like we had 30 bikes attend all using money previousely earned.

For $125-$150, I'd probably ride, oh, say, 3 out of every 4.

My vote was "no".

The following is only to portray my point of view... and NOT to rekindle the high emotions of late!

CGB is not a nice track, but it is the one I've learned on and the one I know best. Basically, it's "home". My issue is not the quality of the track, but who runs the track day. That "family" is important to me.

I'll try to keep an open mind, but if a new track day service in any way resembles "Shane got screwed"... I'm out. Shane earned my respect and support by putting himself on the line by risking his money, giving his personal time and giving-up his riding time.

Again... I'm not trying to stir. If my post seems inappropriate - please delete it.

fair enough, a no is a no in my eyes and im pretty sure everybody who chooses no has the same reason as yours.

I will address this for you and others with this train of thought. I will not engage in a he said she said argument. If "Shane got screwed"... he may have done it to himself. Obviously the proposals offered to me were different than originally offered to him. YES, after the break down in negotiations between them these were created hoping to keep us on the track. What conspired from that point is history. The program I am conducting will closely resemble the track days everyone is used to. I will post any and all changes required for us to ride in it's own thread once I have them set in place.

That doesn't sound like a definite " no " to me. TTD is a thing of the past. It will never be coming back. What we're trying to do is move forward. There's not going to be any more backward discussions I hope.
If you truly want to ride, an oppurtunity is trying to present itself. I for one hope you'll do as you say and " keep an open mind ."
I voted " yes " and I WILL ride!

No name has been considered. I get your analogy, I realized it early on and concluded I've never feared failure. I have gained and lost plenty up to this day and have never looked back at my losses.

I voted no. + 1 to ode guy's post. that said it for me.

TTD may be gone at NPR, but in my mind TTD isn't dead. I may only get to do 1 or 2 Trackdays this year, and have to travel out of state, with a tent, to do so, but I'll appreciate a trackday now like never before. I also want to do another Milestone track school, so if that requires a major road trip, and just 1 trackday this year, then I guess that will be what I want to do.

Phil, best of luck to you, and your team. I hope it works out for the guys that want to ride at GCB. But GCB at is stands now isn't for me.

I'm not a member, so I'm stealing David's for now. I'm in as long as it stays at a decent price.

Im a bit confused on the "family" not being at the track issue. Makes me feel like an outsider. Although a few brothers will not be there, I dont see the family feel going away. All that have said they will be there feel like family, all that said they wont be there feel like family. I had more fun in C helping ppl than blasting A risking my ass for no reason. I had fun showing up without my bike just to help around the track and help pit for you guys. My family hasnt left, a few of my brothers moved out. Ill be there to help the new kids and lend a hand where I can.

They always need to have people helping teach the lower level. I think we should have more than one control rider in the group. to watch for people doing bad thing around the track (not taking the right lines, looking backwards mid turn, etc) It makes everything work better and people get to learn more about how to ride the track and know what to do.
