I'm going to open up my garage and make my tools, lift and tire machine accessible to anyone who needs them. I got a handfull things that I need to get done to the GS before my two upcoming trips this summer. I will need an accurate count of attendees and what/if you will be needing done to your machine. If you will be needing tires balanced, be sure to run over to cycle gear and pick up some wheel weights. I can place a group order for tires (Save on shipping) and have them shipped to my place if necessary. I will also be providing BBQ for everyone attending.
Edit: This is the Thursday before Good Friday so most will have the following day off.

We have a Nomar machine in the DSRL garage. The machine is rated the best manual tire changer on the market. However, the machine is only as good as it's operator.

for Mc tires i have found that very narrow about 1/2" and flat as possible with 12-16" is fine.with a tire machine not very much bar is needed.and teflon covered helps alot.

I'll be there.
I've installed a JD jet kit in my DRZ400SM, and I'm in the process of doing the valve lash on it. So, I can (in theory) be of some help for folks working on DRZ400s. If nothing else, I can tell you what *not* to do.
I've got the JD kit instructions as .jpg files, but they're too big for me to upload here. If I remember later, I'll try to resize and post them. I've also got the Suzuki shop manual as PDFs. Again, if my brain doesn't fail me, I'll bring them with me on a flash drive or something.
The DRZ400 forum on ThumperTalk.com has jetting advice if you've got something other than a stock bike with a 3x3 mod. Otherwise, the JD instructions are a good place to start, IMO.
Oh, and the biggest problem with the valve lash that I've found so far is getting new shims should you need them. Down South Motorsports (in Denham Springs) sells them individually, but they aren't open very late, AFAIK.
Anyone got a set of 9.5 mm shims?

I got on the bike today for my morning commute to work and the damn thing will not idle. I looked and could not find any vaccum lines only the two lines that go back to the charcoal canister. Any ideas?
I_FLY_LOW

We saw one line that was disconnected.
If you're sitting on the bike, it's one of the two lines towards the right rear corner of the tank, that run along the frame.
Maybe 1/2" diameter.
There were 2 identical lines, the bottom one was missing a hose from a coupling, and there was a hose running from the tank, that looked like it went there.
Other than that, I don't recall removing any hoses.
I'm not really sure when that one was removed.
If you slid the tank back, it should have given it/them some slack, not pulled it/them loose.

Check the air temp sensor electric connection under the tank sits next to the air filter lid, Juice
Also if you disconnected the battery you need to reset the fuel injection memory - easy -switch on ignition without starting engine , fully open and close the throttle twice - job done.
