i have a set of V-track wheels i should be getting back from powder coating today or tomorrow, im hoping to install them saturday if the bearings get here in time, they should look pretty good with the black and silver driven chain and black driven sprocket.
also, thanks to robbi at cyclegear, he always takes care of my motorcycle needs asap, lighspeed wanted me to leave my wheels with them for 2 days just to remove the tires because" they had other jobs going on" after the guy told me to bring them by after work and he could knock them out. im no brain surgeon but i think you can slip in a tire removal before you finish that topend rebuild, especially if it takes less than 10 minutes. they realized i was aggravated and called me to do them after i was on sherwood already headed to cycle gear.i told him no thanks, because cycle gear will do it now, cheaper, and will be where i buy the new tires from. i have bought over $6,000 worth of oem fairings and aftermarket parts/gear from them while building bikes over the past 2 years, ill be ordering them online from now on and buying my gear from C/G....(end rant)

dayumm...
I'm not much into wheel bling, but the way those are powdered, they look awesome...
They're subtle, nice touch.
Can't wait to see the finished product.

That is a fiiiine lookin rim! Completely agree about not going all orange - the black gives it good depth. Post pics once you get em installed, would love to see em.

Looks very nice.
(You need to get that knobby from the quad on it and we can go dual sportin'.)
An honest question as I know next to nothing about sport bikes:
Did you raise the rear by altering the frame mounting points? And if so, for any other reason than style?

lmao its not raised. the missing tire is throwing u off.

Even at that, it seems oddly angled. The tire is only 4" taller than the rim max. Maybe it's the camera angle on top of it.

idk, its stock ride height with the preload a little on the stiff side.hopefully ill get the tires mounted tomorrow, and the correct rear sprocket and rotors will be in before the weekend so i can set it on the ground

heres pretty much the finished product, the carrozzeria rear sprocket and spacer will be here in about 5-7 days so i can wrap up the chain and stuff and i should have the Galfer rotors about the same time for the brake completion.then i can wash all the dirt off.

Are those the new clear chain and sprocket sets i've been hearing about, LoL......Nah but that shit is definitely on the sick side. Love the way u put that color together. And i gotta agree, straight orange would have been too Repsol for me. Not ur everyday looking gixxer thats for sure. =-)
