Nothing special. Just a nice, fairly brisk, enjoyable run. If I had seen both troopers at the start, only saw one, I might have gone a little faster in the straights, but probably not in the curves. They only have two troopers working the road now that it's closed on one end.
At 5:20 in you see a primer grey Honda del Sol that was running all over, literally, the Dragon that day. I think he ran in the ditch twice. At 5:32 you see a friend of mine's son in the ditch with his CBR 1000, where the del Sol had just put him. I stopped to help him, not knowing who he was. I think the only damage was some scratched plastic and some bruises. He later had a discussion with the driver of the del Sol. After seeing the car, he pulled up next to a trooper to tell him what the car had done, and the trooper gave him a ticket for improperly displayed license plate. Go figure.
I caught up to a group of Harley's twice and just pulled over and waited about 2 minutes each time. Yeah, I know. No big deal.
On the way back, not on video, I topped a rise to see a trooper on the left side of the road facing me, just as he hit his lights. CRAP! Then the lights went off and he stuck his arm out the window and motioned me to slow it down some. I think it was because I was riding a harmless ol' dual sport instead of one of those damn Ninjer bikes.
Oh, and I wish my bike really sounded that nice. I had the camera, GoPro 1080HD, mounted on the front of the windshield and I think it was picking up intake noise along with the exhaust. It was sealed in the waterproof enclosure which dampens the noise some.
